This Stage 2 cold air intake system produces 14 max horsepower, 18 lbs. x ft. torque and out-flowed the factory intake by 29% on the BMW 335i (F30) N55. This system includes a durable 18-gauge, powder-coated heat shield and features a washable/reusable conical Pro 5R air filter for maximum flow. This air filter is constructed with 100% polyurethane, for long life and multiple cleaning cycles. A huge 3.5 inch one-piece mandrel bent wrinkle-black powder-coated intake tube, maximizes air velocity providing maximum performance and throttle response. This is a direct bolt-on kit and requires no cutting or drilling.
Filter Flange Retention Design:
The air filter uses a unique (patent pending) flange retention design that requires no hardware to mount the filter to the heat shield to provide a quick hassle-free installation with minimal hardware.
One-Piece Intake Tube:
A large mandrel-bent intake tube is used to smoothly direct the increased air flow into the engine for maximum performance.
6" Tall Conical Filter: This intake utilizes a huge, 6" conical Pro 5R Filter. The Pro 5R performance air filter features 5-layers of progressively finer mesh cotton gauze media and is constructed with 100% polyurethane for long life and multiple cleaning cycles
One-Piece Filter Housing: The air filter is housed in a one-piece, black powder-coated 18-gauge heat shield that keeps warm engine air out for maximum performance. This one-piece heat shield uses factory mounting locations and comes with all hardware for a hassle-free installation.
Hassle-Free Installation: aFe has developed this intake to provide a hassle-free installation that utilizes all factory mounting locations.
Dyno Tested Intake Tube: The intake tube is designed to maximize air velocity and is dyno tested and flowed using the latest engineering tools for maximum performance, mileage and throttle response.
